Discover Peachland: a City Ripe for Visiting

Despite its modest size, Peachland is brimming with activity, making it a perfect getaway for solo travellers, families, and couples alike. Enjoy the variety of a big city, but leave the crowds behind when you visit historic Peachland.

Adrenaline junkies will find plenty to get their heart racing here. Hit the trails with Okanagan ATV tours for a thrilling ride across challenging terrains. Or, soar through the skies on Canada’s highest, longest, and fastest freestyle zip lines at Zipzone Peachland, which also offers family-friendly adventure with climbing walls, ninja courses, and puzzleariums.

If you prefer being out on the water, rent a kayak and paddle to Rattlesnake Island—a peaceful spot named after its unique grass rather than any actual snakes (although it is the Okanagan, and you never know). Wear your bathing suit and take a dip in the pristine waters to cool off before heading back.

On those scorching hot Okanagan days, grab your flip flops, chair and towel and head down to one of Peachland’s many beaches. When the littles are tired of sand in their toes, bring them over to the Heritage Splash Pad where they can frolic around geysers, split spurts, and pop-its.

When you’ve worked up an appetite, there’s something for every palate to feast on. Cibo and Vines is a charming little Italian joint where every dish is crafted from the freshest ingredients and accompanied by a selection of fine BC wines and a stunning view of the lake. For something a little different, visit Gasthaus on the Lake. Enjoy its rustic charm, lakeside patio, and occasional medieval feasts. And don’t miss Bliss Bakery for the finest coffee and pastries (their croissant is a piece of flakey heaven)—perfect for taking with you while strolling along the scenic Ray Kandola Heritage Pier. Of course, this is just a sampling of the wide variety of restaurants Peachland is home to.

As you probably know, wine is one of the South Okanagan’s biggest draws. With countless wineries spread across the region, you’re never far from a vineyard, and Peachland hosts some of the finest. Hainle Winery in Peachland has roots here that run deep. In 1972 it became BC’s 8th estate winery, and was the birthplace of North American Icewine in 1978. Their wines are iconic and certainly worth a visit to. Alongside Hainle, discover other local favourites like Fitzpatrick, First Estate, and Saxon, and enjoy a more relaxed wine-tasting experience, away from the hordes of tourists.

Peachland is akin to that hidden gem of a restaurant you’re tempted to keep secret yet can’t stop raving about. We get it! Peachland is the ideal vacation spot for anyone seeking big-city amenities paired with the inviting atmosphere of a smaller, cosy town.
